Upgrade your Gas Meter Regulator

Importance of upgrading your gas meter regulator

Improved safety: Modern regulators often have improved over-pressure protection, relief valves, and more reliable pressure control. A faulty regulator can lead to unsafe operating conditions.

Compliance: If your gas installation is upgraded or altered, current Australian Standards (such as AS/NZS 5601) and your local gas network requirements may necessitate a larger or different regulator.

Reliability: Older regulators can wear out internally due to diaphragm deterioration, contamination, or corrosion, resulting in unstable outlet pressure.

Increase gas demand: If you've added appliances such as a larger instantaneous hot water system, ducted heating, a pool heater, or a BBQ outlet, the existing regulator may not be able to supply enough gas volume. This can cause appliances to underperform or shut down.
